Sophie Degani is a litigation attorney representing individuals, fiduciaries, and businesses in complex trust and estate disputes and business litigation. Her practice focuses on fiduciary litigation, including will contests, contested accountings, and breach of fiduciary duty claims involving trustees, executors, and other agents. Sophie also litigates a broad range of business torts and commercial disputes, including cases involving restrictive covenant enforcement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breaches of fiduciary duty.
Since joining Sugarman Law in 2022, Sophie has played a key role in representing clients through all stages of litigation—from investigation and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Her thoughtful approach and strategic instincts make her a strong advocate in both trust and estate matters and complex business cases.
Sophie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a Presidential Achievement Scholar. She received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she was a Dean’s List student and a member of the Moot Court Society.
